DC Residence Mount Tamborine
Divided into two wings accommodating master suite in one, and bedroom, rumpus and service area either side of a main open plan living area featuring exposed trusses and raking ceiling. Polycarbonate sheeting either end of the living module maximises natural daylighting and captures views.
Each module steps in height and orientation providing an interesting transition in spaces and ever changing views. The changes in orientation ensure privacy of separation between areas and variation in outlooks to the adjacent stand of hoop pines and the valley.
The changes in module height also assist the separation of uses and work with the natural landscape forms to minimise earthworks. skillion roof forms to the bedroom modules allow additional natural height and ventilation, visual connection to the sky and landscape while ensuing rainwater collection is maximised for use in a simple and stylistic way.
